About Us: Compost Clothes is a new regenerative circular fashion brand that focuses on 100% compostable clothing crafted from all natural fibers and dyes. Our clothing is designed with the garment’s lifecycle in mind. At the end of your garment’s life, you can safely return it back to the Earth. By composting our clothes, we close the loop. This helps to reduce waste, regenerate the soil, and repair the carbon cycle.
We are seeking a new production partner to join our team! We’re hoping to connect with a local seamstress who lives within 30 minutes of Little Compton, RI, but has the ability to work remotely from one’s home or studio space.
Requirements:
Exceptional sewing skills with high attention to detail.
Technical skills including knowledge and operation of industrial sewing equipment.
Live nearby and ability to work remotely. You must have your own machine and studio space to perform small batch cut and sew operations.
Reliable and willing to take initiative to complete tasks without being prompted.
Understanding of pattern making.
Job Type: Part Time
Compensation: Based on per piece produced or hourly. This position would be perfect for a garment worker who is interested and open to side work.
